1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are necessary for the website to work; others help us understand how it is used or measure marketing campaigns. We also use similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage).
2. How we use cookies
Analytics and marketing cookies are switched off by default and are only enabled after you give your consent, through the banner shown on your first visit or from the preferences panel. We use Google Consent Mode v2: until you give consent, Google tags run in a restricted mode and do not set analytics or marketing cookies.
3. Cookie categories
Necessary (always active)
These keep the website working and cannot be switched off from the preferences panel. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing the service you request.
- ci_session — Mass Global; keeps your browsing session and protects forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF); expires after at most 2 hours.
- gc_consent_v2 (browser local storage, not a cookie) — Mass Global; remembers your cookie choices; kept until you change them or clear your browsing data.
Analytics (only with your consent)
These help us understand, through aggregated data, how the website is used: pages visited, visit duration and traffic sources. We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager.
- _ga — Google; distinguishes unique visitors; 2 years.
- _ga_<ID> — Google; keeps the session state; 2 years.
Marketing (only with your consent)
These allow us to measure campaign performance and show relevant messages on other platforms.
- _gcl_au — Google Ads; measures conversions from campaigns; 90 days.
Google may also set other cookies on its own domains, according to the Google cookie policy.
Third-party content
The Google map on our contact page only loads when you choose to display it. From that moment, Google may set its own cookies, according to its policy.
4. How to change your preferences
You can change your choice at any time using the round button in the bottom-left corner of the page (“Cookie preferences”) or the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect parts of the website, for example sending the contact form.
5. Data transfers
If you accept analytics or marketing cookies, Google may process the collected data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. More details are available in our Privacy Policy.
